Topic: I'm studying the effects an insecure attachment style has on children developmentally as the grow up.
Question: How does insecure attachments effect the cognitive development of children?
Significance: This is significant because it shows how important infant-caregiver attachments are, not only during infancy but throughout their childhood with effects lasting throughout their entire life.

My audience is pro, as in they agree that insecure attachments can be harmful for children's development and have impacts throughout their life.
My audience is parents, as well as those interested in child development, and how early experiences and attachments effect children.
They initially find this claim to be unacceptable because the idea that such a short time period effecting a child's development in such a negative way seems harsh, and overwhelming.
My audience values the well being of children the most.
They fear causing negative outcomes in children and the repercussion their actions could potentially have.
The audience counter argument could be but... it is only a short period in a child's life and children are often very resilient. But... the attachment a child forms with their parent is not the only attachment in their life it could not be a determining factor in a child's life.
